Your Membership Committee: Helping You, Help Rural America
Dear NACS Members,
We are well into 2016 and NACS is hard at work, helping build a better future for farmers and ranchers across our country. Our strength is in our membership - a strong, united NACS is an influential voice for rural America. We have more than 700 members, and that number is growing as you reach out to every eligible FSA employee to invite them into the NACS family.
Behind the scenes, the Membership Committee is crafting fresh incentives to bring in new members, reward existing members and attract even more first time attendees to the 2016 National Convention in Washington D.C., July 10th-13th. Cash prizes, recruiting bonuses, career and networking opportunities - the Committee is working on a broad program of incentives designed to reach out to all. Help make this our best ever National Convention, by getting copies of the 2016 WDC National Convention flyer (available on the NACS website) to everyone in your state. We don't want them to miss it!
Plans are underway for an overhaul of the NACS website and our Facebook page. New features are already in place - click on Become a New Member to see all the benefits that await NACS members. Your Membership Committee wants to hear from you! Take a look at both sites and bring your ideas and suggestions to your closest committee member. NACS is an inclusive Association that realizes its greatest resource is its members. Your skills and insight are needed and valued.
Above all, the committee knows the most effective outreach is the personal touch. New FSA staff need to know why NACS is important, to understand the integrity we bring to the table as advocates for the rural Americans we serve. Let them know NACS will help them with their careers too, with networking, leadership opportunities and mentoring. We ask every NACS member to reach out to new colleagues in their state and let them know we welcome them. Your encouragement will make a difference.
Thank you for all you do and stay tuned for the new initiatives being brought to you, by your Membership Committee.
