HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY NACS
On October 27, 1973 at a Holiday Inn in Kansas City, Missouri a small group of County Supervisors met and founded the National Association of County Supervisors. We all owe a great deal of gratitude to that group of individuals that came together with the vision to start our association. Over the past 40 years the association has been committed to how we can better serve rural America and help our clients prosper. The Farm Loan Program, Farm Program, Information Technology and Management/Personnel Committees have all gotten responses back from the National Office on the resolutions that were adopted at the Convention in San Diego. Thank you to Vice President Tanya Dostal for getting the resolutions submitted and following up with the National Office to get timely responses back from them. The committees will be scheduling teleconferences with the national office to review the responses to the resolutions. The Legislative Committee has also been busy. Your NACS Legislative Committee has worked with more than a dozen banker and producer organizations to submit a letter to Farm Bill Conference Committee supporting the removal of guarantee term limits. A toast to NACS founders. May we continue to follow the "Statement of Principles" that you established. Have an Unbelievable Day Allen D. Hall
