Importance of Resolutions
With national convention at the end of this month I hope you are all taking action and submitting resolutions on the NACS website. Resolutions need to be submitted on the website prior to June 25th. The NACS resolution process is a very effective way to make needed changes. Recently DAFLP, Chris Beyerhelm, provided a listing of all resolutions submitted by NACS, NASE and the Chiefs Association since 2010. It listed all the resolutions, actions taken and those that are still being worked on. He also made a commitment to give us a list of completed actions as of the end of each March and September. He stated that it was and effort to provide us with the same outstanding customer service that we continually display towards the Farm Service Agency's customers. I typically don't mention names of recently retired members of NACS in these updates because I am always afraid of leaving somebody out; but I am making an exception this time because of something I was sent by recent retiree Spencer Larson. Spencer shared this with me and had permission from the person who wrote it to share with others. I enjoyed working with you on the Farm Loan Program committee meetings in Washington. Your participation provided invaluable input to the meetings by bringing the field office hands on experience to the meetings. Oftentimes the policy, design, programming, and accounting staffs needed to hear from people delivering the programs to the farmers to try to get the best possible system developed. While not all of the field offices concerns could be addressed immediately in all cases due to timelines and system constraints, I believe many of them were as a result of your presence at these meetings. Hopefully our paths will cross again. Enjoy a long healthy retirement. Glenn D. Pfeffer Retired - Controller of Commodity Credit Corporation, and Acting Director, Financial Management Division Please submit your resolutions. The resolution process does make a difference and is recognized by the national office as an important process. Have an Unbelievable Day Allen D. Hall NACS President
